It's September first already! So, I get to start officially greeting you all as "boils and ghouls" because for me it is now HALLOWEEN season and you can't stop me!
Also on the docket is a new year of school, my youngest has his first day soon and that's always so bittersweet... To me he's still such a baby! To celebrate the new school year, all students get a boost to their student discount: 20% off their purchase! (Regular year-round student discount is 10%!) This discount is for in-store purchases only. (If you would like to receive the discount for online purchases, simply provide me proof that you're a student via email and I will provide a discount code.) For the kids or young at heart, our newest fabrics are perfect: Euro knits are extremely popular as kid's clothes for their quality and fun prints! Some have already sold, or are nearly sold out!
Also, don't forget, all melton wool is on sale 15% off until Sept 30th! No code required! Time to start prepping for winter!
If you are (or know anyone interested) between the ages or 10 to 15, contact the North McIntyre Rec Centre: I'm teaching a class there starting Sept 25th, 4 sessions! $160, all included: you MUST provide your own sewing machine, though! We will learn sewing on woven and knits and you will be making a t-shirt! Most teens these days will want to learn knit sewing as it's so prevalent in fashion, Halloween costumes and cosplay, even if it's just to re-purpose vintage t-shirts! Also, stop asking grandmama to sew your patches on your denim jackets! Learn to do it yourself! That way she won't clutch her pearls when you ask her to stitch Cannibal Corpse or Cattle Decapitation stuff on there!
For anyone who prefers one-on-ones, schedule now, as the fall is always a busy time for lessons!
Hope you're looking forward to fall! it's my favourite season for fashion, colours, food, and above all, HALLOWEEN!
Speaking of witch (*snort*), our craft night for September is in Thurs Sept. 28th. If you have a Halloween project to bring, please do! I'd love to see what you're all working on! If you need help, don't hesitate to come by the store or contact me; I love helping out!
See you soon!
